3 Slick Back Hairstyle Essentials

I have naturally curly hair, and when brushed, frizzy. Learning to style took me a while because it takes more work to manage than straight hair. 

Going into college, I found a curly hair routine that worked, making getting ready in the morning much easier. Around this time frame, the whole slick-back look was coming back and becoming very popular. I never thought I looked good in a slick back anything, bun, ponytail, high bun, etc., but eventually, I started to ease into it by first trying the claw clip look and then in these last couple of months playing and researching (pinteresting lol) different slick back looks. I found that I look better than I thought and that it looks very nice.

I was pleasantly surprised with the wax stick because I had these flyaways at the top of my head that not even gel would pin down, but this does! I will say that the initial wax application leaves a slightly clumping look, but that is not a problem because you can brush it, and it spreads evenly. The metal tail combs work just as expected. They are great for parting my hair and brushing down the front parts. 

The brush, the comb, and the wax stick upgraded my bun routine! Seeing how nicely the goody brush slicks back my hair is so satisfying, and on non hair wash days, it helps make my routine so much faster.
